I like that I can take the skills that I have learnt in pattern making and apply them in making me own garments. :) It shows how to construct garments in a more technical way.

I really enjoyed her enthusiasm for the subject. She is always willing to give extra time to explain things that people haven't understood and is passionate about the subject.

Beginning of the year Patterns was my worst nightmare. but with time and practice, I got to understand patterns, I like and appreciate the fact that we learn where to begin before actually sewing.

Her teaching technique is brilliant! The extra time and effort that she puts into making quality videos and slide shows for us is very beneficial for us, which is well respected as it doesn't benefit her.

Miss Kaila also gives us an outline of industry and links all that to patterns. She's hard enough to prepare us for industry but soft enough that she's always approachable. She's consistent, eloquent and inhumanly patient. She's a wonderful lecturer

Friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to help. Explains clearly and if anyone doesn't understand then she will repeat herself. Will make time for consultations as well as extra revision lessons in her free time. Time and effort is greatly appreciated
